Whites started out as a small company in the summer of 1976 and have since grown into the largest purpose build laundry in Staffordshire.
Whites specialises in the hotel and restaurant industry with customers ranging from small B & B hotels to 200+ bedroom hotels. They also have a work wear part to their business where they specialise in Food Trade Garments.
As with any Commercial Laundry, Whites Energy costs represent a significant proportion of overheads and is something they’ve kept a close eye on as they have grown. Utilising our supplier network and negotiating power, we managed to achieve a c£10k saving against their current Gas costs (albeit in a market that had fallen since their last contract was entered into) and a significant saving against the best price the client received direct. We were also engaged to look at their Power costs for them, and whilst the market and non-commodity costs had both risen significantly since their last contracts were entered into, we still managed to find them a saving against current costs of c3%.
Of course we didn’t stop there though. Through conducting a thorough site audit, we identified numerous other areas for cost savings and efficiencies, including the installation of LED lighting and a terrific opportunity for installing our new Heat Pump Technology to recover heat from water which was currently pouring down the drain. This technology is so efficient, that even if fully financed can produce positive cash flow from year one, reducing grid reliance and allowing the customer to benefit from government backed Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) payments.
